By engaging our services and supplying us with your information, you are giving your specific and informed consent for us to collect, store, use and disclose your personal information according to the purposes of this privacy policy.


Unless you opt out, you consent to us using your personal information (excluding health and medical information) for the purpose of direct marketing our services to you. Why we collect personal information

We primarily collect personal information from you so that we can provide you with the services and products that you may need. Our primary use of that information is to help us know and understand your current and future needs. We use that to create and deliver a service to address them. If the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, it may affect our ability to provide our service.  

We also use personal information to manage the practical aspects of our business, for example appointment bookings, payments of invoices, service promotions and responding to enquiries. In addition, personal information is used to comply with our legal obligations.  

We may also use information to analyse our business performance, however information will always be de-identified when used for this purpose. 

What information we collect?

We collect two types of data and information from Users. 

The first type of information that we collect is Personal Information. This may include: 
- name, postal and email address, date of birth, gender. 
- health information including current lifestyle, medical history, past surgeries, medications, etc. 
- occupation.

The second type of information is un-identified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a User(s), which may be made available or gathered via your use of our website, www.optimisemassage.com.au (“ Non-personal Information ”). We are not aware of the identity of a User from which the Non-personal Information was collected. Non-personal Information which is being collected may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.) in order to enhance the functionality of our Site. We may also collect information on your activity on the Site (e.g. pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).

    How do we receive information about you?

    We receive your Personal Information from various sources:
    • When you voluntarily provide us your personal details in order to book an appointment (this can be online though our website, phone, text, email or in person);
    • When you provide it to us during your appointment and treatment time;
    • When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our services;
    • Referrals from another provider.

    Sharing

    We will typically only share your information if we have your express permission to do so. Whenever possible, we will ask you to pass information between ourselves and other service providers. In some circumstances, your information may be disclosed to others without this express permission. This would only occur if it relates to the primary purpose of our collecting the information and you would reasonably expect us to do so. 

    We engage the services of third parties to support us. This may mean that personal information is accessible to them through their systems. This information is protected however from unauthorised use or disclosure through strict controls and agreements. their access to information is limited to the extent that it is necessary to perform their service. 

    Should we need to refer overdue debts to a debt collector or other company, we will provide personal information to the extent that is necessary to handle the debt. 

    We will provide personal information to third parties where we are required under Australian Law. 

    Accessing your personal information

    You can request access to the personal information that we hold about you. Confirmation of your identity will always be required before any information is given. There is no charge for this service. 

    If Privacy Law or Australian legislation exempts us from giving you access to your personal information, we will not give it to you.  

    Retention

    We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable time. Under applicable regulations, we will keep records containing client personal data, account opening documents, communications and anything else as required by applicable laws and regulations. 

    We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

    We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or access our services.

    This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any of the third parties which we may disclose information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. 

    How do we safeguard your information?

    We are committed to protecting the personal information that we collect and hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or modification. Our business practices reflect this and we require any third party to comply with similar security requirements, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We aim for the information that we use to be accurate, complete and up-to-date in all phases of its usage. As such, it’s important to us that you provide us with correct details whenever you give us your information. If you think that what we have about you is incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or misleading, we ask that you contact us so that it can be rectified. 

    Minors

    We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. Under no circumstances shall we allow use of our services by minors without prior consent or authorization by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors without this consent.     Updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of our services, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
